The current Public Information Officers are Officer Bill Storment and Captain Kate Novitsky. Walmart Theft - Friday, June 24, 2016

Gallatin Police need assistance from the public in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection to a theft by deception. The suspect a white female entered the Walmart store located at 1112 Nashville Pike on June 20th at around 5:20pm. The suspect then fled the store in a black 2004 Buick Rainer with Kentucky tag 300PYK.

Walgreens Credit Card Fraud - Friday, June 24, 2016

Gallatin Police need assistance from the public in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection to a credit card fraud. The suspect entered the Walgreens store located at 914 Greenlea Boulevard and used this credit card to purchase a gift card.

Sobriety Check Point - Friday, June 24, 2016
The Gallatin Police Department will be conducting a sobriety check point on Harstville Pike between East Main Street and Steam Plant. The check point will be Saturday July 2nd from 9:00pm to 2:00am. These check points and Traffic Enforcement Blitz are an ongoing effort by the department and other law enforcement agencies to reduce traffic crashes and fatalities related to impaired driving.

The Gallatin Police Department in conjunction with the Sumner County Sheriff’s Department, Hendersonville Police Department and Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting sobriety check points Saturday, July 2, 2016 in the area Hartsville Pike in Gallatin. These check points are an ongoing effort by the department and other law enforcement agencies to reduce traffic crashes and fatalities related to impaired driving during the Independence Day Holiday weekend.

Red Carpet Liquors theft - Friday, June 17, 2016

Gallatin Police need assistance from the public in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection to a theft/shoplifting from the Red Carpet Liquors. The suspect entered the Liquor store located at 226 North Locust Street on June 15th and shoplifted items from the store. The suspect then fled the store in a Honda Pilot with a Titans license plate.

Road open again - Wednesday, June 15, 2016

All traffic is back open on Airport Road and Coles Ferry Road following yesterday’s accident involving a dump truck that left traffic signals and power lines down.

 

CITY POLICE OFFICERS HAS IDENTIFIED AND ARRESTED - Tuesday, June 14, 2016

Gallatin Police Department has identified and arrested the subject in the picture attached. The subject was identified as 20 year old Craig Dixon. Mr.Dixon turned himself in on this date and admitted to the gun being an airsoft gun. Craig Dixon was arrested and charged with criminal trespass.

UPDATED - SUSPICIOUS PERSON - Monday, June 13, 2016

Gallatin, TN - Gallatin Police and the Sumner County Sheriff’s office need assistance from the public in identifying and locating the subject in the picture attached. The subject has been seen in the area of Douglas Bend, Lisa Lane and Lori Lee Drive during the early morning hours. Subject has been seen armed with firearms and a knife. There is no immediate threat at this time other than some recent vandalism’s in the area. Both agencies would like to get the subject identified as soon as possible.

Gallatin, TN - Gallatin Police Department has identified and arrested the subject in the picture attached. The subject was identified as 20 year old Craig Dixon. Mr.Dixon turned himself in on this date and admitted to the gun being an aerosol gun. Craig Dixon was arrested and charged with criminal trespass.

 

Shooting - Monday, June 13, 2016

Gallatin, TN - Gallatin Police received a report of a subject early Sunday afternoon who left home threatening to commit suicide. Officers spent the afternoon looking for the subject who had left a suicide note. Upon locating him in the parking lot of the Sumner Regional Medical Center, the subject shot himself one time while seated in his vehicle. No officers were involved in this incident and no one else was injured. The un-named subject was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he was last listed in critical condition. No other information is available.

Missing and Endangered Person - Sunday, June 12, 2016

The Gallatin Police Department needs assistance in locating following missing and endangered elderly white male. Joseph “Joe” T. Carson left for church to Whites Creek Pike but did not make it. Joe is 73 and takes medication for Dementia and has a heart condition. Joe’s DOB: 02/27/1943, his TNDL is 024721507. Joe was last heard from at 11:56 AM on this date. Joe stated that he didn’t know where he was, Joe is in a 4 door silver/grey 2010 Toyota Corolla. The tag number is 081WMF, If anyone sees or recognizes the below pictured male please contact Inv. Emily Stockdale with the Gallatin Police Department at (615)452-1313.

 

Missing Person - Sunday, June 12, 2016

Officers responded to Wedgewood Dr. in Gallatin, TN regarding a missing subject. It was learned that Raymond L. Hall Jr. left this residence at approximately 11:00 am driving a 1999 green Ford F250 Flatbed with attached wielding materials. Subject is belived to be armed with a handgun. Any contact with Mr. Hall or vehicle please call the Gallatin Police Department.
