The current Public Information Officers are Officer Bill Storment and Captain Kate Novitsky. Accidental discharge of a weapon - Tuesday, February 21, 2017

Gallatin Police Department is investigating an accidental discharge of a weapon in the Dollar General parking lot on Broadway in Gallatin. On Friday February 17th, 2017 at approximately 5:54pm an off duty officer was in the parking lot of the Dollar General and accidently discharged a weapon into the pavement. There were no injuries and this incident is currently under investigation by the Gallatin Police Department.

 

Theft at Top Hog - Thursday, February 16, 2017

Gallatin Police need assistance from the public in identifying and locating a suspect who is wanted in connection to a theft from Top Hog restaurant, 642 Blythe Avenue in Gallatin on January 30th, 2017. The suspect is a white male with a beard, wearing a tan knit cap, a camo jacket, and pictured below.

Lowes theft - Thursday, February 16, 2017

Gallatin Police need assistance from the public in identifying and locating a suspect who is wanted in connection to a theft from Lowes, 1301 Nashville Pike in Gallatin on February 13th, 2017 at approximately 11:19am. The suspect was seen leaving in a white Chevy van shown below.

Walmart stolen debit card - Wednesday, February 15, 2017

**UPDATE** These suspects have been located. Gallatin Police would like to thank everyone for the tips and leads in identifying and arrest of these individuals.

Gallatin Police need assistance from the public in identifying and locating a suspect(s) wanted in connection to a theft from Gallatin. The suspect(s) stole a debit card, and have been using the card at various Walmart’s locations in the area. The suspect(s) are seen in the pics below, and seen leaving in a white KIA.

Gallatin Police need assistance from the public in locating Harold Powell who has active warrants for attempted homicide, reckless endangerment, and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon. On February 13, 2017, Harold Powell walked into the victim’s apartment and shot the victim three times before leaving the area.

ROBBERY SUSPECTS SOUGHT BY GPD - Wednesday, February 08, 2017

On January 20, 2017, just before 4:00 p.m., two suspects entered the La Hispana Market located at 633 S. Water Ave and robbed the owners at gunpoint. The suspects fled the scene. The gunman is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male 5’4” – 5’5” small frame brown hair and hazel eyes wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie. Victim advised his hair was shaved next to his ear. The “lookout” suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male 5’7” – 5’8” and skinny with short black hair and green eyes, wearing blue pants and a blue zip up jacket. This suspect was also wearing either a red hat or red knit mask/hat. Victim’s advised that both suspects had an accent like they are possibly from El Salvador or Guatemala. Suspects are pictured in the below sketches provided by TBI.

Debit and gift card scam at Walmart - Tuesday, February 07, 2017

Gallatin Police need assistance from the public in identifying and locating two suspects wanted in connection debit/gift card scam. The suspects entered Walmart located at 1112 Nashville Pike on February 4th and 5th and used stolen debit cards to transfer money to gift cards. The suspects are both black males and seen in the pictures below.

**UPDATE** Zion Jeiel ‘Dewayne Brown, a runaway juvenile, has been located in Knox County Tn. Gallatin Police would like to thank everyone for the tips and leads.

Gallatin Police need assistance from the public in locating 15 year old juvenile Zion Jeiel ‘Dewayne Brown, B/M, 06’00”, 150 LBS, Black hair and brown Eyes. He was last seen 01/27/2017 at 7:30pm wearing blue shirt, blue sweat pants and flip flops. He ran away from the Group Effort home in Gallatin. E
