The Crime Prevention and Community Affairs Unit is responsible for coordinating and conducting presentations to groups within the Gallatin community, as well as conducting prevention activities, such as security surveys and the Gallatin Police Department and Sumner Regional Medical Center's Annual Bicycle Rodeo.
Currently, the Crime Prevention and Community Affairs Unit is operated by one officer. The Crime Prevention and Community Affairs officer works with officers within the Gallatin Police Department, as well as with officers from other agencies throughout the United States, in coordinating prevention activities in the City of Gallatin. Prevention activities include providing presentations on requested topics to community groups, conducting security surveys at people's homes or their businesses, and coordinating ongoing Departmental activities, such as the Department's Police Explorer's Post.
