Treats for Seats
Treats for Seats is a program designed to increase proper child passenger seat safety. The program was recognized in 2007 by the International Chief’s of Police Association as being the top such program in the nation. Treats for Seats award check points are held at local elementary schools and other locations in Gallatin. Officers who have been trained in the proper installation of child safety seats. Children who are properly restrained in a passenger safety device are given a “treat”. Treats are items such as kids meal coupons, free music downloads, and free movie passes donated by local businesses.
